to present amelia known as memè olivi (1922-2019), we could cite the countless places in which her work was the subject of personal exhibitions between 1953 and 2002: paris, rome, brussels, new-york, tokyo, sydney, melbourne, or montevideo, and buenos aires.

born 1922 in senigallia (in the marches region), meme olivi was introduced to artistic practice very early on. from the age of 14, she attended the scuola superiore d'arte di urbino, and obtained the diploma of professor of lithography in 1942. during the war, she continued her studies at the accademie delle belle arti in rome, florence, and from brera. settled in milan until 1959, she continued her printmaking work while working as an illustrator in fashion and publishing. she collaborates in particular with vogue italy.

the engravings that we present for pink by when the flowers save us were executed between 1998 and 2004 using two techniques: etching and aquatint. this myriad of small bouquets with multiple "pink" touches us particularly and resonates with the more vivid roses of her granddaughter, amélie barnathan, next to whom she is now exhibited.
